I went through Mr. Emerson for modification of my ex husband's custody and child support. My initial consultation with Mr. Emerson was very helpful. My son had a court date that he was unable to attend due to illness. Even though the opposing attorney knew about this, he would not return my calls. We were in a situation where the court hearing was less than twenty four hours away. I contacted Doug Emerson's office and they worked me in to speak with him. He got down to business getting all the paperwork in order so my son could file a continuance in the case. He never asked for a dime.
He has now taken over the case that a female attorney in Weatherford was incompetent to complete after spending several thousand dollars with her. He is now the attorney that will handle this case. I know that my son is in great hands with Mr. Emerson and that the case will be handled correctly.
